The private hire vehicle is easily recognizable by its mandatory red sticker affixed to the front left of the windshield and the rear right of the rear window.

On the front, next to the sticker, you will also find the private hire professional card obtained by passing a theoretical and practical exam conducted by the Chamber of Trades and issued by the prefecture.

Unlike taxis, there are no lights on the roof because it is prohibited for private hire vehicles to be approached by a customer on the street and to have them board the vehicle unless they have previously reserved a ride by phone, text message, or via the RC VTC Narbonne app.
